Key Responsibilities: The Executive Assistant provides high-level support to both the Managing and Artistic Directors. This trusted role plays a key role in advancing the organization’s fundraising, marketing, school, and patron engagement efforts.

Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented multitasker with excellent writing skills, a strong sense of customer service, experience with CRM databases, and a genuine passion for the performing arts. They are highly organized, discreet, and proactive, anticipating needs to keep projects moving forward. This position requires someone comfortable engaging with a wide range of individuals—both over the phone and in person. Interested parties must be experienced in all Microsoft Office Suite applications and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary is $30,000-$32,000, depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off, professional development, free parking, tickets to performances, and free dance classes. There is a hybrid work option: work from home Mondays, in office Tuesday – Friday.

Key Responsibilities: The Senior Marketing and Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of Ballet Co.Laboratory’s print and digital presence. This role will increase brand awareness, drive ticket sales, expand school enrollment, promote outreach programming, and steward donor engagement through compelling, mission-driven content. Responsibilities include brand strategy and content creation, digital and print marketing, public relations and community engagement, and market research and metrics.

Qualifications and Skills: The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of storytelling and data-informed strategy. They will bring a strong background in digital marketing and video content creation, along with excellent project management skills, a keen eye for design, and persuasive writing and presentation abilities. A deep understanding of audience development and a passion for the performing arts are essential. This leader must be comfortable navigating both big-picture strategy and day-to-day execution.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary range is $45,000-$50,000, commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, professional development, free parking, tickets to performances, and free dance classes. There is a hybrid work option: work from home Mondays, in office Tuesday-Friday.

Ballet Co.Laboratory believes in the development of the whole dancer and works to invest in artists’ professional growth. One way Ballet Co.Laboratory aids professional dance makers in evolving their artistry is through our Laboratory II: Emerging Choreographer Program. Each season, one choreographer is hired through this program to create a new, full-length, staged ballet production which is performed by the upper-level students at The School of Ballet Co.Laboratory (ages 11 – 20).

Ballet Co.Laboratory knows how difficult it can be to find paid work as an emerging choreographer. Some organizations offer free space and artists to perform their work, but many do not compensate emerging artists for their creation/rehearsal time and even fewer cover production costs such as costumes, sets, stage management, etc. The choreographer selected through the Laboratory II: Emerging Choreographer Program is not only compensated for their work and the materials/staff to create their production, but will simultaneously receive mentorship from Ballet Co.Laboratory staff in production design and arts administration to get a complete picture of what it is like to create, market, and fundraise for a new work.

The story that Ballet Co.Laboratory will be asking the 2025 emerging choreographer to draw inspiration from is the children’s book, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie. Applicants who apply can choose to present this narrative as a classical or contemporary ballet. The selected choreographer will work alongside the Ballet Co.Laboratory artistic team in selecting the music, designing scenic elements, creating costumes, and casting roles.

Choreographers applying to this program are encouraged to think critically about how ballet can continue to evolve in becoming more inclusive and forward-thinking. Rather than create a piece that is simply based on movement, artists are asked to create a production with a storyline that sparks the imagination and challenges the audiences’ perception of what ballet is.

All applicants must live in Minnesota, have had formal ballet training, and consider themselves to be an emerging choreographer.

For 50 years we have been creating arts learning and experiences with community partners through performances, workshops, residencies, professional development, and more. Programs take place throughout the State of Minnesota during school hours, after school, during the evening, and on weekends. Locations include schools, libraries, older adult living communities, parks and recreation centers, youth program sites, and other community settings. We consider ourselves matchmakers, bringing artists and partners together to create impactful and inspiring experiences.

Artists selected to join the roster join a community of other teaching artists and have access to benefits such as admin support, insurance, professional development, and more.

While this is an open call for all artists, we currently have a special need for the following:

• Artists interested in K-12 classroom settings and out-of-school programs for youth
• Artists interested in and experienced working with people with disabilities
• Artists interested and experienced working with older adults living in assisted living and/or memory care
• Visual artists
• Digital artists (digital art/illustration, graphic design, animation, etc.)
• Electronic media (photography, video, animation, etc.)
• Literary artists
• Spoken word artists

Desired Qualifications
While we are open to a wide variety of artistic approaches, experiences, and backgrounds, artists with the following criteria have a higher chance of being interviewed if they have:

• A demonstrated dedication to an artistic practice
• Prior teaching artist experience (ideally 3-5+ years)
• Ability to fill a gap on the COMPAS roster
• Demonstrated ability to model, breakdown, explain, and customize projects within their artform

We encourage people who identify as Native, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities to apply. We also encourage artists living in greater Minnesota, beyond the metro area, to apply.

Collide Theatrical’s Apprentice Program is an audition-based professional training program designed to provide the skills needed to pursue formal positions within the Collide Company and in the world of theater dance. This is a ​9-month training program with 3 trimesters (September-November, December-February, and March-May). Interested dancers must sign up for a minimum of 3 months, or 1 trimester.

Selected Apprentice dancers will take technique classes with the Company 2-3 days a week, participate in a cabaret performance, and have opportunities to appear in Collide shows and/or understudy roles. Throughout the program, dancers will have an opportunity to be mentored by Collide’s artistic staff, train alongside professional Company members, and receive education that is individually tailored to their goals and needs. The technical classes include a variety of styles rooted in ballet and jazz, including tap, acting for dance, hip-hop, and more. Apprentice dancers will also have an opportunity to participate in quarterly master classes with Broadway touring dance captains and industry professionals.

This is a tuition-based program. Scholarships are available for underrepresented artists. Participants must be over the age of 18. Enrollment is competitive and audition-based.

Collide Theatrical Dance Company is auditioning dancers for their 12th season at the Luminary Arts Center—seeking strong technical jazz dancers with excellent acting skills. All styles of dance – tap/hip-hop – are encouraged to apply. The season announcement will take place in early May.

• Rehearsals are during daytime hours, usually 9:30am-3:30pm

• Mainstage Show #2: rehearses January 12-31, 2026 with performances February 2-15, 2026

Company Dancers are salaried employees at $500-$800/week. Guest Artists are hired on a per show basis. Junior Company Dancers are hired on a per show basis at $300/week.

eMartin Dance is accepting applications for their September 26-27 premiere Blood of the Earth at the Southern Theater. We are seeking 5-7 movers with strong contemporary dance and improvisation backgrounds to join our core company for this evening-length work.

Artists will be hired as independent contractors. We are currently able to offer $15/hour for rehearsals and will provide an additional stipend for tech/show week.

Hello everyone! The Magic City Experience is looking for dancers to join us in our Disney Tribute concert on Saturday, May 31 at Stillwater High School. There are two shows, one at 11:00am and one at 3:00pm. The concert is an hour and a half and the entire band is in full costume! There will be two groups of dancers who will dance every other song—no dancer will dance for the entire show. A stipend of $100 will be given to everyone selected along with meals and snacks the day of!

Looking for dancers ages 8 and up.
